2003 FCAT Report

2003 FCAT Report: Comprehensive report that provides FCAT Writing, FCAT Sunshine State Standards (SSS) Reading, Mathematics, and Science, and FCAT Norm-Referenced Test (NRT) Reading Comprehension and Mathematics 2002 and 2003 results for all M-DCPS students tested and for M-DCPS students in each curriculum group (Standard Curriculum, ESE, and LEP Two Years or Less). Scores are also provided for all students tested statewide.

FCAT Writing
This report provides the score point distribution on the FCAT Writing for grades 4, 8, and 10 students at each school. Results are provided for all students tested at the school and for each curriculum group separately (Standard Curriculum, ESE, and LEP Two Years or Less).

FCAT Writing Results: Average Scores, by Curriculum Group, for 2002 and 2003, Grades 4, 8, and 10:

This report provides the 2002 and 2003 FCAT Writing average expository scores, average narrative/persuasive scores, combined average scores, and the total number of students tested at each school for grades 4, 8, and 10. Results are provided for all students tested at the school and for each curriculum group separately (Standard Curriculum, ESE, and LEP Two Years or Less).
FCAT Sunshine State Standards
This report provides the 2002 and 2003 FCAT Sunshine State Standards (SSS) Reading and Mathematics traditional average scale scores (ranging from 100 to 500) for grades 3-10 students tested at each school. Results are provided for all students tested at the school and for each curriculum group separately (Standard Curriculum, ESE, and LEP Two Years or Less).
This report provides the number of grades 3-10 students tested at each school and the percent of students scoring at each Achievement Level on the 2003 FCAT Sunshine State Standards (SSS) Reading and Mathematics. (The State Board of Education has not yet set Achievement Levels for the SSS Science.) Results are provided for all students tested at the school and for each curriculum group separately (Standard Curriculum, ESE, and LEP Two Years or Less).
The Developmental scale score (DSS) is used to compare students’ scores between grade levels in order to determine annual growth. DSSs range from 1000 to 3000 and link adjacent grades together, permitting student progress to be tracked over time. (DSSs are not calculated for the SSS Science because that component of the FCAT is not administered at adjacent grade levels.) This report provides 2002 and 2003 FCAT Sunshine State Standards (SSS) Reading and Mathematics DSSs for grades 4-10 students tested at each school. Results are provided for all students at the school with both 2002 and 2003 scores (matched students) and for matched students, by curriculum group (Standard Curriculum, ESE, and LEP Two Years or Less). Student grade level refers to the grade level students were enrolled in when they were administered the 2003 FCAT.
The FCAT Sunshine State Standards (SSS) Science was administered to students in grades 5, 8, and 10 for the first time in 2003. This report provides 2003 FCAT SSS Science traditional scale scores (ranging from 100 to 500) for all students tested at each school and for each curriculum group separately (Standard Curriculum, ESE, and LEP Two Years or Less).
Norm Referenced Test
This report provides the 2002 and 2003 FCAT Norm-Referenced Test (NRT) median percentiles for the Reading Comprehension and Mathematics subtests. Results are provided for all grades 3-10 students tested at each school and for each curriculum group separately (Standard Curriculum, ESE, and LEP Two Years or Less).

2003 FCAT Norm-Referenced Test Reading Comprehension and Mathematics Results: Percent of Standard Curriculum Students in Each Quartile, by Grade Level, Grades 3-10:

This report provides the number of grades 3-10 Standard Curriculum students tested at each school and the percent of Standard Curriculum students scoring at each quartile on the 2003 FCAT Norm-Referenced Test (NRT) Reading Comprehension and Mathematics subtests.
